A Knitty Bitty Somethin'

Funny story....

Saturday I got a package from Idaho. I love the state of Idaho--after all they grow POTATOES! But, I do not know anyone personally from Idaho. So, that was curious to me.

I do buy things regularly online from various artists but to the best of my recollection I hadn't bought anything from someone in Idaho....very interesting...

The package was a 6x8 in., or so, envelope, clearly with some bubble wrap inside, very light in weight. I love packages--especially when I don't know what's in them....love, love, love them!

So, I ripped open the package with the enthusiasm of a 4 year old on Christmas morning.

And what was inside?

This....

"This" had me very intrigued...it's colorful, cute, and from etsy (or so the business card that fell out with the tearing open of the package said). Ooooohhh!!!!

But what was it???

There was a note attached. It read, in hand written print, "A little happy for you, from Amy." Wow! How cool! I went online to look it up....

On Monday I wrote my friend Amy in Iowa and said thank you for the thoughtful gift...she wrote back---while happy to hear from me, she admitted that she did not send me anything.

Interesting...

So this evening I emailed the email on the business card and inquired about the last name of the Amy who sent me the gift. I also inquired if the to and from names had been interchanged by accident...

Lo and behold--I was right...I received a response that yes, indeed, in her sniffily nose and cold the creator and vendor meant to write that it was from Lauren--and to Amy (moi)....

So.....

To Lauren---from Amy--THANK YOU! :) I love, love, love it!

So, what is it you ask?

It's a camera strap quilt! So perfect! It livens up my camera and every time I look at it I think of my friend Lauren and our fun picture times together! :)

Thanks for your kindness and the fun intrigue that came with it Lauren! :) It definitely was a LOT of happy! :)

Love love love the mixup! So funny! Can't wait to see you model it! :) Someone like you shouldn't just have an average anything....let alone a plain camera strap!
